So lets go over this really quick.
Nobel Peace Prize. According to Nobel's will, the Peace Prize should be awarded "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses."
Now people that have been nominated but never recieved one. Mahatma Gandhi, Corazon Aquino, Pope John XXIII, Pope John Paul II, Dorothy Day, César Chávez, Oscar Romero, Jose Figueres Ferrer, Steve Biko, Raphael Lemkin, Abdul Sattar Edhi and Irena Sendler.
Now to the point. HOW THE HOLY COW FUCK DID BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA GET ONE! Lets see this is the reason "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples", his second week in office????? Did the entire world miss out on something? I mean look at the other people that have been awarded them while president of the United States. Theodore Roosevelt was given a Nobel Peace Prize for ending WW1. Woodrow Wilson was given one for creating peace between Russia and China and creating League of Nations. And the commitee had this reasoning to give it to Obama "efforts to strengthen international diplomacy."

I know the Press will have a field day with it. the only problem I have with it is that they even nominated him for it. It deminishes the worth of the award. Others that have recieved it have done more than say Pretty words. Most have dedicted to their entire lives to the cause that they feel strongly about.
Many people have been Nominated for the award. Lets veiw a couple Joseph Stalin, Benito Mussolini and guess who ... Adolf Hitler! It takes nothing to be nominated, one quallifed person is all it takes to get a nomination.

205 people were Nominated this year and we will not know who they are for another 50 years.
